After The job
What we walked into, and what we did.
The problem
A slow drain every winter, jetted three years running, and a fig tree nobody would dream of removing. The CCTV survey found root intrusion at three joints across a 12 metre earthenware run, 1.8m under an established lawn.
Our approach
Jetted the roots and scale out at high pressure, then inverted a resin saturated structural liner through the existing inspection opening and cured it in place. Two branch junctions robotically reinstated and sealed. Post cure camera pass the same afternoon.
The result
One seamless pipe inside the old one, the fig still standing, the lawn never opened. The homeowner keeps the before and after footage and a 50 year liner warranty in writing. Priced off the rate card at $9,200 ex GST, agreed before work started.
Materials
- Structural cured in place liner, 100mm bore
- Robotic junction reinstatement, two branches
- Post cure CCTV proof pass, footage handed over

How the job ran.
- Survey
Camera down, faults mapped
CCTV crawler logged root intrusion at 4.1m, 6.2m and 9.8m. Footage reviewed with the owner, quote built from the rate card the same day.
- Day 1 am
Clean and line
High pressure jetting cut the roots out; the liner was inverted through the inspection opening and left to cure.
- Day 1 pm
Junctions and proof
Both branch connections robotically reopened and sealed, then the post cure camera pass end to end. Drains back in service that evening.

A closer look.
“Three winters of blocked drains, gone in a day, and the fig tree never knew they were here. Watching the after footage was the most satisfying thing I have seen all year.”
